We Want to Hear From You!

Are you a peer supporter for others with whom you share a chronic condition? Have you benefited from peer support, or do you know someone who is a dedicated peer supporter? We’re looking to you to share your experiences and/or observations with real stories and images of peer support in the field.

Peers for Progress is delighted to invite peer supporters, colleagues, managers, peer support recipients or family members, friends or caregivers of service recipients to join the call for Essays, Photos and Videos. Awards ($50-200) for top submissions. See instructions under the links for more details.

Submissions can focus on your personal successes or challenges providing peer support to others, or observations on the benefit of receiving peer support. We want to celebrate peer support and inspire others to get involved, demonstrate the unique value of peer support, and inspire empathy, compassion and action to promote peer support.

Submissions should be received between Wednesday, June 11 and Friday, August 15, 2014. There are three submission categories:

Essay, Tell Your Story

Photo, Peers-Supporting-Peers

Video, Share Your Insights on Peer Support

Click on the link for each category for details and submission guidelines. Please contact Huyen Vu at huyenvu@email.unc.edu or 919-445-9385 with any questions. Thank you for sharing your story with us!
