Accelerating Best Practices in Peer Support Around the World

Our work has revealed many lessons on ways to improve the quality of peer support programs, which can lead to improved patient outcomes and patient satisfaction, and lower program costs and staff turnover. The following recommendations touch on issues such as program development and adaptation, peer supporter training, program management, health systems integration, and program evaluation.

In 2013, work groups of the National Peer Support Collaborative Learning Network produced the following two resources:
